Born in 1744, James McGill, but emegrated to North America soon after graduating from Glasgow University. By 1766, he had ended up in Montreal, where he became a trader and merchant, and then a politician.

Student life around McGill University. This is the corner of University and Pine. The whole surrounding area is home to McGill and it's many departments. A whole lot of old brick and mortar architecture preserved over the years.
