Today's #mathober - k-cyclic graph. I did polygons (1-cycles for my code and desmos) and a few with mycena fungi in the doodle.

Mathober Day 9 - K-Cyclic Graph
A K-Cyclic graph has a closed walk of length k. In a fish graph, the graph can be cycled in 7 steps.
Using wobbly sine functions as a background, fish graphs swim through the sketch.

And I've found time to do a quick zine for today's #mathober prompt, k-Cyclic Graphs. Here's a photo, and I'll add a link to the PDF when I'm near a scanner. Graphs!
Yesterday's #mathober prompt, PARABOLIC ROTATION, led me to a fun yet mysterious function! (No scan just yet as I'm on the road, but will add links later)

Some quick @geogebra.org for #mathober day 8 parabolic rotation, a new to me transformation. Draw or see functions transformed! www.geogebra.org/m/m533jaqf
My (belated) entry for Mathober day 4: Linear Recurrences! I was excited about this theme because it lets me share one of my favorite combinatorial puzzles, originating from my high school band class.
I didn't get a chance to do anything for him for #mathober five circle day, but Miquel was an interesting person! fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Auguste...
Mathober Day 8 - Parabolic Rotation
Instead of focusing on the mathematics behind rotating a parabola, canvas transformations are used to literally rotate a parabola.

Mathober Day 7 - Five Circles Theorem
5 circles are drawn so that they intersect at 2 points, with 1 of those points lying on a central circle. Connecting the intersection points that do not lie on the central circle forms a pentagram.

Day 7 of #mathober is all about Five Circles, and I've picked my favourite five circles to showcase. Or are they all just the same circle...? PDF: https://katiesteckles.co.uk/mo7
Today's #Mathober - Connected Topology

Mathober - Day 6 - Connected Topology
A connected topology describes a space where any two points can be travelled between without leaving the space.
This starts with a convex hull surrounding a region of points which shrinks inward.
