SOLITUDE
(Lord Byron)

To sit on rocks, to muse o'er flood and fell,
To slowly trace the forest's shady scene,
Where things that own not man's dominion dwell,
And mortal foot hath ne'er or rarely been.

I always feel like somebody's watchin' me
And I have no privacy (Oh-oh-oh)
I always feel like somebody's watchin' me
Tell me, is it just a dream? (Rockwell)

INTROSPECTIVE REFLECTION

I would live all my life in nonchalance and insouciance
Were it not for making a living, which is rather a nouciance.

I must take that first step, if I am to take the last.
I must face the future, if I am to leave the past.
Nothing will ever change if I just stay standing still,
I must take a step, if my dreams I am to fulfil. (Jenny Maryl)

Her soul
Deep as night, she keeps the quiet watch
a steady lighthouse, fierce and tender,
foundation of home.

Whispers of dreams, in feathers confined,
Each bird has a story, tales intertwined.
Wishing on stars, to clouds they aspire,
Each flutter of wing, lifts them higher.

This dapper fella is Jake from the Maryland Zoo. Have you ever seen a peanut-shaped turtle?? I sure hadn't! He was just out for a noontime stroll with his handler, whom I had a delightful chat with.

I like the random seagull in the penguin habitat. The fungus was in the marshland bird habitat. #marylandzoo #zoo #birds #seagull #penguin #pelican #fungus #photography #nikon @mjrichards.bsky.social
