Pine martens are expert communicators. They leave scent marks, scats and urine on logs, rocks, trees and on woodland trails to share information about territory, breeding status and identity.

Pine martens are expert climbers, with sharp claws, rotating ankles and a long tail for balance, they can navigate our woodlands with ease. Climbing is an important skill for finding food, shelter and escaping predators - but it takes some practice! #MartenMonth
