And how could Rocky deny them? He could talk about Grace without end, and now, surrounded by his family, he wanted nothing more than to convince them to love Grace, too.

It was then, as he told the stories of how they’d met, how they’d worked to solve the astrophage problem, how they’d nearly died, how they’d departed and how Grace had turn around to save him, did something finally settle within Rocky. It was probably temporary, this sense of contentment, but speaking of Grace to his family was akin to having him here, and nothing had ever felt so right.

Maybe trying to force his old home to fit would never work, and instead, he’d have to bring his new home with him.”
