Amazing display at Johnny Marr’s Guitars at Christie’s auction today. Watched this 1982 Rickenbacker sell for £280k (plus fees) 🤯😮 #marrsguitars #jfm #TheSmiths

This is my happy place.

I once bought a Rickenbacker 330
from 48th St Custom Guitars in NYC that Johnny Marr had just put down a few minutes prior. I didn’t even recognise him.

Warning - these guitars were used to write, play and record some of the greatest songs of all time. Really enjoyed my visit to Christie’s yesterday. #marrsguitars #johnnymarr💥 🎸

Christie’s catalog for next week’s auction. 🎸
