Blackpool, 2008. A tightly cropped photograph of an ornate, illuminated two-storey fairground carousel at dusk. Bright orange and yellow bulbs trace the scalloped canopy, decorated with painted blue scenes of buildings and waterways. White carousel horses with colourful saddles surround the central staircase. Increased colour saturation emphasises the warm lights and vivid blue panels against the dark background.
