Morning scene on a broad, sun-filled sidewalk running alongside a busy avenue in an expensive City during a long weekend, facing a small, empty, two-story brick commercial building that is surrounded by taller buildings; this used to be the spot of a large bar with an upstairs lounge and roof deck on top, but it has been closed for many years and is now being offered for lease as "retail space," according to the big banner on the building's facade which lists several telephone numbers for the realtor; the inside is a mess, but there are still a lot of the old bar features intact and, on the outside, a large sign reads "Manny's on Second," which seems a bit uninspired; the metal rollup gate blocking the front door is well-known to the neighborhood rat population and is covered in graffiti throwies and tags, as are the two entry doors flanking it; the sun has risen up from behind the buildings and casts a glare on the scene -- only to later be obscured by incoming clouds.
