I miss Stan Lee
I was never even a hardcore Marvel fan, I just miss him
So I’m gonna share my favorite image of him, reading Ultimo (collab manga between him and Hiroyuki Takei)
#MangaRambles #StanLee #manga.

A photograph of Stan Lee, holding a volume of the manga Karakuridôji Ultimo in one hand, his other hand on his cheek, as he gasps excitedly while reading it.

Caved and did that “my 9 manga” trend I’ve been seeing around
I tried to think about series that still effect me to some extent even now, even if I haven’t read them in ages
#MangaRambles #manga

My 9 manga, via 9Koma.
The Devil is a Part-Timer!
Bleach
Bungou Stray Dogs
Assassination Classroom
My Monster Secret
Pochi Kuro
Interviews with Monster Girls
The Promised Neverland
Solo Leveling

I've mentioned it before I think, but
One of my favorite tropes in any media is "character who is unfamiliar with modern human culture and is interested but confused as hell about it"
#MangaRambles #DaemonsOfTheShadowRealm #manga

A manga page from Daemons of the Shadow Realm, volume 10/chapter 37.
Yoru is asking Roei about how a "living transfer" is set up. Right says, "the transfer is agreed upon in a discussion between the master, the Daemons and the master-to-be."
Left continues, "After they reach a consensus, the Daemons absorb a bit of their next master's blood into their bodies."
Roei continues, "When the current master dies, the master's rights move to the next person with no stoppage time."
Yuru, not having heard the term "stoppage time," looks it up. His results are stuff about soccer, referees, etc.
Ken, still talking to Roei, says "teach me more about Daemons, father!" While Yuru is still browsing search results; he is confused by what a referee is, so he searches that too. He gets stuff about soccer, rugby, american football, etc.

Cont.
Roei says to Ken, "all right. We'll stick to the safe stuff."
Yuru is in the background, still searching on the net and looking even more confused and distraught. He is confused by what soccer is, so he looks that up, only to get results about seersucker and cotton fabrics.

What is it with Maou and leaning in the doorframe like this. Dad energy. Weirdo. (/aff)
#MangaRambles #manga #TheDevilIsAPartTimer #HatarakuMaouSama

Part of a manga page from chapter 33 of The Devil is a Part-Timer!
Maou, walking into the Devil's castle, greeting Gabriel and others (not shown) who are invading his home. He leans against the doorframe with one arm, his other hand on his hip. He says, "Whoa, whoa, you didn't say anything about vistors."

Forced myself to sit down and at least read a bit of it
Had to stop and get a pic of this panel tho.
We're hitting levels of shit-eating-grin that shouldn't even be POSSIBLE /aff
#MangaRambles #manga #TheDevilIsAPartTimer

A manga panel from chapter 125 of The Devil is a Part-Timer!
Maou stands in the doorway, one hand resting on the door, the other on his hip. He has a huge, smug grin on his face. He says "heh heh heh... the gang's all here?"

Btw my copy arrived not long after this post and I still haven't read it.
