#Malthouse The Nightline. AV-art installation-verbatim theatre, an odd experience that left me non-plussed. 48 phones, each with 8 lines of real messages left by night owls, interrupted by lights, sounds or the concierge. Whispered confessions are deeply personal but most I heard were pretty drab.

#Malthouse Break of Day. A slice of gritty outer suburbia on the brink of ruin, where good people struggle and its hard to find joy in the cracks. Great production with outstanding performances, particularly from Kat Stewart.

#Malthouse Vista. Dance by Stephanie Lake: 6 fearless dancers, 2 halves, monochrome then full colour with quotes from the first like a woozy dreamscape. Tremendous group work & pairs - the beginning & end parts are astonishing; the central sections’ choreography seemed weaker. But a great experience
