Can you help with fostering this little girl till she is ready to be rehomed below is her basic profile. If you think you can help please contact us on the normal numbers Teenage kids or older all resident dogs need to be neutered No small furries. Meet Macey — our beautiful, fluffy-eared Lurcher looking for a foster home! 🐾 Macey is a gorgeous, sweet-natured girl with a big personality, a love of cuddles and a serious appreciation for the finer things in life — namely, enormous piles of blankets to snooze on! 👑 She is affectionate, gentle and loves being close to her people. She’ll happily enjoy belly rubs, sofa snuggles and plenty of fuss, and she’ll often check in on walks for a cuddle too. She’s also very much a little shadow around the home and likes to know what her humans are up to. Macey loves her walks and really needs plenty of exercise, enrichment and opportunities to run safely. She has a very high prey drive, particularly for squirrels, so a secure, enclosed area for off-lead exercise is essential. She is incredibly strong and can spot an escape route where you’d swear there wasn’t one, so secure fencing is a must! She enjoys walking alongside other dogs and can happily mooch about with canine company. However, she can become over-excited around other dogs when running and playing, so she needs sensible supervision and a foster home that understands Lurcher behaviour. She currently wears a muzzle when off lead in secure areas. Macey has made fantastic progress since arriving. She has learnt to wait her turn at doors and around food, is increasingly comfortable meeting people and is becoming much more settled in new situations. She is good with children and has been out to pubs and cafés, although she can become restless after a while. 🏡 What does Macey need? A foster home with secure, escape-proof fencing Someone who understands sighthounds or is willing to learn Plenty of exercise, enrichment and safe opportunities to run Someone around enough to gradually build up her confidence with being left alone Ideally, a calm, sensible resident dog who can provide companionship and help her settle Patience while she continues to build her confidence and learn good habits A willingness to manage her high prey drive and enthusiasm around other dogs And, of course, plenty of blankets! 🥰 Macey is housetrained, travels well in the car and has been left with another dog for several hours without causing any trouble. When left alone, however, she can be vocal and will need this to be built up gradually. She is also a talented counter-surfer, food thief and toy destroyer, so her foster family will need to keep valuables, food and tempting chewables safely out of reach! 😂 Despite all her quirks, Macey is a wonderfully affectionate, funny and characterful girl who has already come a long way. She has so much potential and, with the right person to give her the structure, exercise and understanding she needs, we really believe she can blossom into a fabulous companion. Most importantly, Macey deserves to experience life outside the kennel — with comfy beds, long walks, safe zoomies, loving humans and a truly ridiculous mountain of blankets. ❤️ Could you offer Macey the foster home she needs?
