Lesson I learned building a Mac app on Google APIs: key users on the sub claim from the ID token, never the email. Emails change. sub doesn't.
Still love the course. Just want my 157k XP back.

CleanShot 5.0.1 (Setapp, 02e6637) won’t launch at login on macOS 27.2 beta 3, even with the in-app toggle on and the app added manually to Login Items. Restart and reinstall didn’t help. CleanShot anyone else?

I have released #McKinley 1.3. (A Mac app for making and editing SF Symbols.)
1.3 is a huge update behind the scenes, focussing on performance and correctness. There’s one new feature, Minimum Internal Radius for strokes.
You can discuss it on the forums: forum.rikidar.eu/topic/13/new...
New in #McKinley 1.2.1: star and wave tools! Also a "Simplify Path" operation, plus improvements to exported symbols.
McKinley is my tool for creating custom SF Symbols, of use to #iOSDev, #MacDev, #AppleDeveloper folks. Check it out!
One reason I prefer native tools for work I repeat every day: the shortcuts and small interactions stop feeling like features and start feeling like part of the desk. Hora is my version of that for Google Calendar on Mac. horacal.app #MacDev #IndieApps
hora 1.1.0 is out.
Google Tasks live in the app now. A sidebar widget, and your tasks drawn on the Day, Week and Month grids next to your events.
Drag one onto the grid to give it a time. Tick it off anywhere, it's done everywhere.
Also in 1.1.0: Find a time.
Open the availability popover and hora reads every attendee's free/busy at once, lays their days out side by side, and offers the slots where the whole room is free.
One click puts the event there.
What's New in McKinley 1.2, my Mac app for creating #SFSymbols:
I made a video showing off some of the updates. These improvements are all in response to user feedback, so if you have any requests or suggestions do feel free to send them in!
Dev-log: an event you blocked on another calendar showed up twice. Once as itself, once as a bare "Busy" row.
Two records, one meeting. The fix was picking which one is the original, and letting the block stand only when its source calendar is hidden.
