Lufia and the Fortress of Doom is the only JRPG I've played that punishes you with a ridiculous encounter rate because you're wearing the wrong panties.

This isn't a joke. There is armor called "Clear Silk" and if you equip it the game just silently jacks up encounters.

I played Lufia 1 as a kid, and 33 years later finally finished its prequel, Lufia 2. Packed with puzzle-filled dungeons, it was a fun, nostalgic adventure with a decent story, funny dialogue, and some quality-of-life upgrades from 1. Excited for the remaster! 7.5/10 • 45 hours
