Finally got it. Not the cleanest copy (after all, it's from 1990). But I own it again. Paid $20.00. More than I wanted to pay. But woman included the dust sleeve. #NES #Nintendo #retrogaming #videogames #LittleNemo #Capcom #gaming

Fresh off the Esterel Sessions, Little Nemo turns chaos into something you can dance to 🎶 'My Life Is A Mess' is the kind of messy morning energy that actually feels good. New for 2025 and already a favorite here

I recently got my art book from the “Little Nemo and the Nightmare Fiends” kickstarter and I’m so happy to see Peony on the pages of a book and I’m so excited to see her in action!

Cover of “Little Nemo and the Nightmare Fiends: Official Art Book” featuring characters flying among the clouds in the heat of battle as the moon watches onSpread of Peony character development, featuring initial design concepts, color swatch options, and establishing Peony’s personality.
Page 20 reads “Concept artist Taja Emmanus had a big task: creating an all new character for the game. In the original comic, Nemo Travels with a character that is an unfortunate racial stereotype. This character is usually replaced in modern adaptations with a mute character, like an animal friend, but we wanted to use the opportunity to add some positive representation to Slumberland. We wanted the character to be one of the candy kids, who attend to the royal family. Taja had the idea of blending this with ballet overtones and the result was Peony, who has become one of our favorite characters in the entire game.”
Page 21 reads “Originally, the 4 playable characters were imagined as takes
on characters from the NES game Little Samson. Nemo was Samson, The Princess was Kikira the Dragon (floats and shoots) Flip was Gomm the Golem (multi-directional punches), and Peony was KO the Mouse (climbing and bombs). Obviously these changed over time but Peony retains some of her KO influence. The bottom images are perhaps some of our favorite pieces in the game, as it quickly established Peony’s joys and attitude. We’ve tried to keep her consistent in her writing as she balances duty with annoyance at feeling like a babysitter.”
