Workers did the work. They were denied their wages. They went to court. They won.

And they still did not get paid.

On a 3.3 billion euros public railway, responsibility disappeared through a cross-border contracting chain. The EU must limit these chains.

In 2016, unpaid construction workers at Charleroi’s Rive Gauche in Belgium climbed a crane to demand their wages.

10 years later, the court acquitted the subcontractors. When chains are long, liability disappears. The EU must cap subcontracting tiers #LimitSubcontracting
