The only problem with that is that the #LimitsToGrowth will end the entire #IndustrialAge in a slow but unstoppable #collapse of modern civilisation in the escalating #polycrisis of environmental destruction, species #extinction, #ClimateChaos, #ResourceDepletion and so on.

Unlike many others, I am not afraid of any imminent #IntelligenceExplosion or #Singularity or anything like that. I don't think we will even manage to bring enough compute online before the entire global industrial system breaks down. #LimitsToGrowth will do #AI in before #Superintelligence happens.

can you see it? we tried to fix one problem: declining oil production in the US with tight oil, #fracking, all that stuff. but one persons solution is another persons mess. this is #complexity, the final frontier.
