At #LibDemConf I caught up again with the Liberal Democrat Friends of Hong Kong to discuss the latest in our fight against the transnational repression too many face here in the U.K. from the CCP.

We owe Hong Kongers protection on our streets from the very authoritarianism they fled from.

In case 𝘆𝗼𝘂'𝗱 𝑚𝑖𝑠𝑠𝑒𝑑 it .......... The 𝗟𝗶𝗯𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗰𝗿𝗮𝘁 leader has (𝑛𝑜𝑤) suggested he'd would 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 the approval of the 𝗝𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗱𝗮𝘄 𝗴𝗮𝘀 𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗹𝗱, saying the UK will "need a lot of gas in the transition" to net zero.

On 𝑎𝑣𝑒𝑟𝑎𝑔𝑒, the party is now down over 𝟮% points from 𝟭𝟮.𝟳% to just over 𝟭𝟬.𝟯%, 𝑠𝑢𝑏𝑠𝑡𝑎𝑛𝑡𝑖𝑎𝑙𝑙𝑦 below their vote share in the last general election (𝟭𝟮.𝟲% GB wide).
