Oh dear, bit a story in Circular Heads Council, where a misogynistic jokes from the MC of a candidate forum led to both a statement from the council itself (which was hosting the event) and the symbolic resignation of one of it's members

Im slightly confused by this statement and would appreciate it if someone more knowledgeable could enlighten me? Presumably Reynolds isnt taking payment so even if Lohberger had (somehow) hit the 23k spending cap... why would she not be able to mention him?

Odd! The TEC was giving the #lgtas daily return numbers, which i was intending on making some graphs on daily like I did last time, but its been pulled? It was definitely active on i think Thursday

Seen a Kingborough Mayor candidate claiming that most voters on the Mayor ballot just vote 1 and stop - looking at the last time there was a serious preference distribution for Mayor there that doesn't seem to be remotely true #lgtas

Not a frequent listener to Poll Position TBH, in saying this would recommend any HCC / #lgtas watchers listen to the opening 20 mins from this week's episode, where Alex Johnston talks abt the debate incident

I didn't immediately grasp the significance of the latest Louise Elliot code of conduct saga. This is actually suspension strike three and if her appeals fail and she is re-elected then she could be dismissed from council in the next term. #lgtas #politas www.abc.net.au/news/2026-10...

Seen a report that an experienced candidate for a mayoralty said on FB that renters can't vote. Haven't directly verified post but staggering ignorance if true. Renters are in fact now REQUIRED to vote in the council within which they are enrolled. #lgtas #politas

One more time for the end of the week! #lgtas #politas

West Tamar candidate Will Gordon, a twice former state Labor candidate, "withdraws" from council race after ballots are printed. The withdrawal has no effect; if he is elected he would have to then resign to not take the seat. #lgtas #politas

...Oh no #lgtas

I'm currently examining Sorell council voting patterns. The good news is this won't take very long. After more than a year of it four of them are yet to vote against each other ever. #lgtas

In which I give Kevin my data and he does something I never thought of: What if we just ignored an outlier councillor entirely? The results are fascinating. #lgtas

Oh dear, not great that there's been an 'incident' at every single candidate forum so far!

Pulse Tasmania is absolute garbage. It's not a News source - it's the media wing of the Liberal party. Agnew is a shill.

Posselt is also a dick, whose one singular redeeming quality is that he isn't Lousie Elliot. Though he is just as bad.
