Leinster 29-5 Cardiff FT

Kept much tighter in the second half but to be brutally honest we could stay out there for a week and wouldn’t have scored.

Distinct lack of accuracy, skill execution and pace to the attack.

Tough night.

That 2nd half was a bit of a chore but Leinster always comfortable. Sam doesn't run he glides and showed some great touches, nice to see Coffey work well with him after Fintan & Caspar have impressed too. Joe Mc pick of forwards, good long shift for many elite players. On to Clérmont #LEIvCAR

A bonus-point win on our return home 💙

The BKT Player of the Match is... Sam Prendergast! 🤩

#LEIvCAR

That double pump for Prendergast shouldn't always work, but it does more often than not. #LEIvCAR

TRY! Jamie Osborne powers through for the try and Prendergast converts!

Our lineout has been extraordinarily bad this half.

#LEIvCAR

Into the last 10 minutes here 🏉

#LEIvCAR

62% territory for Cardiff is telling. They'll be frustrated they've not done more with it.

#LEIvCAR

Taine Basham has been everywhere for Cardiff.

#LEIvCAR

We've really threatened very little in this half. Feels like Cardiff are having to defend very little, and we're handing it back to them far too easily on our rare forays into their half.

#LEIvCAR

Good game from Coffey today. Another young player who's put his hand up these last few weeks.

#LEIvCAR

Decent showing from Coffey #LEIvCAR

The mullet. The fucking mullet
#LEIVCAR

Our goalline defence has been really good in fairness but if Cardiff had taken a couple of these chances they've left begging we'd potentially be in trouble.

Taine Basham picks off a pass and has a clear path to the tryline but Hugo Keenan chases him down and we carry the ball into touch deep in our own 22.

A bit of Leinstertainment
Attack flowing
Prendergast getting into the line
The RDS looking great

We receive the kick off for the second half. Let's go, lads! ☄️

Attack variety is nice defence still a worry can be exploited by better teams w better coaching n 2nd playmaker w variety of depth n positioning targeting 13 wing/ last width defender
#LEIVCAR

Tries from Hugo Keenan, Jack Conan and a Jimmy O'Brien double have us in front at the break with a bonus point already in the bag ⚡

It's been a productive first 40 minutes at Laya Arena! 🙌
