🎥 After the video on #NavierStokes we recently shared, Quanta Magazine revisits the debate: an OpenAI #AI system claims to have solved a variant of the finite-time "blow-up" problem.
Useful reminder: #turbulence itself remains largely misunderstood.

Can a droplet move uphill on its own?

The answer isn't a simple yes or no...

#LeidenForce #Leidenfrost #FluidDynamics #Physics #Quiz

Fake or fact:
The Leidenfrost effect can make a droplet climb a slope.FACT (partly). On a surface with an asymmetric microtexture (tiny sawtooth-like ridges) heated above the Leidenfrost point, the vapor flow beneath the droplet can generate a small propulsive force strong enough to push it uphill on a slight incline. It only works within a narrow window: too steep a slope, and gravity wins.
