That stunning closing scene on the lake at sunset probably clinched #LeaveHerToHeaven cinematographer Leon Shamroy's third of four Oscars. #TCMParty

A great movie and one of the great Criterion jackets. Even though I own it, anytime I see it, it stops me cold.
Have a good one folks.

At some point the other actors must have decided it's Tierney's picture and that there'd be no use trying to match her cyclone. ##TCM #TCMParty #LeaveHerToHeaven

Tierney's vocal delivery is so hushed & whispery. At times it's almost like a hissing. I think it adds a lot to Ellen's quietly seething & tightly coiled demeanor. #TCMParty #LeaveHerToHeaven

I've seen #LeaveHerToHeaven several times now & I've come to feel that the direction is competent but not particularly interesting. Would've loved to see Sirk's take on it. #TCMParty

Still a shocking scene every time, the death of Danny

Danny ... Ellen is probably NOT the person you want to go swimming with.
This scene is so iconic. The heart shaped glasses, the cold stare. WOW.
