How good? That good!

Something I need to talk about at some point is the many earlier examples or the tornada. Tonight it’s applications in Longsword and some of its counters.

Bloody awesome.

Is there a swordfighting film you love, but every time you watch the fights you wince?

Started watching Highlander with Clau (her first time).
We will not be discussing the quality of the fight scenes.

I loved how these two worked together.

Dussack from a private lesson. We stopped giggling enough to get a lot of Longsword done as well.

Brilliant progress.

When it’s quiet it’s always nice to bring out the big toys!

I got quoted 😂

For context, we were discussing safety in and how to get the most out of drills in the Longsword and sword in one hand class.

But this made me giggle. Thanks Simon.☺️

Interlude.

Been a fantastic start to the week, and more about the classes tomorrow. For now though, tea and Baldur’s Gate (again). See you on the sunny side.

A few more pages of Girard Thibault (only one of which belongs to me). To stand and marvel at these is an honour, and what subtleties you miss in most reproductions.

Verdadera destreza in the fore, Longsword at the back. Impressed with everyone finding their own focus of improvement and working at it hard.

Moments from the Girard Thibault and (Vulgar*) verdadera destreza classes.

*niche pun.😂

With courtesy and control.
Vedadera Destreza in the Friday class.

From the fundamentals class. Always beautiful to see how quickly you can get a class understanding the complex by explaining it simply.

Hubud? You bud, we’re talking bout the blade.
Dance sickle dance, dance sickle dance.

Paulus Hector Mair sickle work this evening. In the Crystal Palace class.

From Wrath to Comprehension.

Taking these wonderful folks through some Liechtenauer in the fundamentals class. Could not be prouder of them all.
