i did it. a local gallery called for art, so i finished this piece and submitted it. i have never had my art displayed, but today that changed. thx to everyone who encouraged me. #art #ink #lanternfly #collage

artwork made from multiple layers. the bottom most layer is brown paper and translucent white plastic. atop this is an unfolded cardboard box. atop the box is yellow ink, manila bubble-mailer, and clear yellow plastic. atop that layer is a spotted lanternfly painted and cut apart. pasted haphazardly like it's been squished. around the bug is rectangular bricking pasted from paper. the lanternfly is intricate with tiny ink spots and brick pattern on the wings. in the wings are words. the left wing says "i will have no grave" and the right "when they stomp me out".a photograph of the artwork
