@akoreanstake.bsky.socialThe 31st Busan International Film Festival opens tonight: around 240 films from 59 countries, Oct 6-15, mostly in one neighborhood, Centum City. Can a total beginner just show up? Yes, but buying tickets is a bit of a sport. #BIFF #KoreanFilm
@secondcutpod.bsky.socialIt took two of us to give our views on Na Hong-jin's new movie, Hope. You can read the review(s) at the SecondCutPod substack. You get to support independent film writers talking about global film, and that's pretty cool to do.

@ingridkerr.eurosky.socialHaven't seen them all, but I'll see Hope next month on the big screen here. They're not all SciFi, but hey.. these films deserve all the flowers. Genre bending Kfilms are hard to peg and that's what makes them great.
@mikeoutwestuk.bsky.socialWaiting to see #HOPE at the @arccinema.bsky.social in Beeston. Dragged everyone with me so I have a lot riding on this!

@thrythlind.bsky.socialIf the movie Hope is playing in a theater near you, my suggestion is to go watch it.
Korean monster movie. I advise not watching any teasers or anything... I went in after seeing a handful of teasers on Youtube ads.

@themoviebuff.bsky.socialFilm review: Despite impressive action and comedic moments, Na Hong-jin's "Hope" is an incomplete narrative.
