All #koji looks the same (to me, so far) as it grows so I let it sporulate just to verify that what I bought is what I thought it was. If you look closely you can see yellow koji in the back with the more obvious black koji in the front. Woo! #fungi

A small bowl of some white rice with some floofy, small yellow spores in the back of the bowl — along with black koji in front of the bowl that looks like white rice covered in floofy, black spores.. which is exactly what it is! Don’t be afraid of the fungi. Embrace the fungi! 😀
