In closing, Jacqueline Alvarez of @unep.org stresses that connection between #KMGBF & chemicals & waste agenda is broader than single targets. It can be advanced through cooperation among scientific bodies & frameworks.

Niklaus Wagner of #Switzerland stresses #COP17Armenia is a moment to take stock of #KMGBF implementation & provide guidance on how to fill gaps, including by tapping into the role of #MEAs. He shares after COP17, the 4th Bern Process Conference will be organized to tailor MEAs response.

Brenda Koekkoek of @minamataconvention.bsky.social provides a snapshot of progress and current gaps in enhancing co-benefits between Minamata Convention & #KMGBF, discussing the Road Map aimed at highlighting already available tools & need to plan jointly.

Marianela Araya Quesada highlights #COP17Armenia could, under item 17(d), consider pollution & biodiversity as areas of further work under #KMGBF. This could lead to the creation of an ad hoc expert group or a technical workshop with MEAs to fill the gaps to achieve Target 7.
