panel 1: Marsione's hand hovers over some gothic looking text, holding an ink pen. The text is mostly cut off, but there are mentions of basbeo.
panel 2: Close look at what Marsione is writing next: "The first recorde-" The rest is cut off.
panel 3: A large panel showing a book with medieval looking marginalia, smudged in some places. It depicts Yahuul and their scythe, and a scene of a smaller Yahuul peeking out from behind a tree while another person gestures wildly. There's also a donkey and cart stuck next to them. Text reads: " he first recorded sighting of Yahuul likely occurred when they were a child. A traveling merchant was stuck in a swamp near Muileag in the Kingdom of Arsanaig, prior to its destruction and relocation to the south. As the merchant struggled to get their cart
and animals out of the swamp, the merchant noticed two pale green eyes watching from deeper in the swamp. The merchant later wrote that they felt as though they were being hunted and that they wouldn't be here if they had not freed their animals and abandoned their cart."

Panel 1: Two pairs of feet walk through a swamp. The person following says: "Show us where it happened."
panel 2: A hand points to a grouping of trees.
panel 3: Gianluca, the merchant, tells the two preachan who were following them: "Just over there in those trees... That's where I saw... it."
panel 4: The two preachan walk further into the swamp. Preachan 1: "Come on out now..." They are slipping a knife out of their sleeve. Preachan 2: "We're here to help! We have no intention of hurting you." They pull rope out of their sleeve. Two pale green eyes watch them from underneath a tree.
panel 5: They continue walking. Preachan 1: "We have a missive from her Lady the Maighstir Cu." The pale green eyes have moved closer, still hiding under the tree roots.
panel 6: They continue walking, preachan 1 whining: "Stupid fucking backwater-" Something dashes out at them from under the trees.
panel 7: It's an evil looking child, who chomps down hard on preachan 1's hand, causing them to drop their knife. They yell: "What the FUCK-"

A full page showing the other side of the book. Text reads: "It is known the preachan traveled to Muileag multiple times, asking for information on the town's swamp monster. They were often said to have appeared to be disgruntled after leaving without having found anything. It was on the last of these trips the Maighstir herself came back with the child who would be known as Yahuul. The Maighstir was said to have claimed that she saved the child from the monster and put the beast to death. There is a correlation between a decrease in missing persons and the child Yahuul's removal from the swamp, however these claims cannot be confirmed or denied." The marginalia is again a bit smudged. It depicts the townspeople thanking the Maighstir, the Maighstir brining Yahuul to the castle, and the Maighstir and Priomh performing some sort of spell on Yahuul, who is laying on a magic circle. Preachan surround them. Marsione's hand is visible again, testing out her ink pen on a scrap page underneath the book.

panel 1: The Maighstir leans down, calmly saying: "Don't worry. I'll make sure this only hurts for a moment, my love." But the text blurs out, Yahuul cannot hear what she's saying.
panel 2: The Maighstir holds Yahuul's face, and moves a knife towards their neck. Yahuul isn't really noticing. The Maighstir is talking, but again, Yahuul can't hear her.
panel 3: The Maighstir slices open Yahuul's neck, spurting bright red blood. Yahuul was caught off-guard.
panel 4: A sort of spirit version of Yahuul, devoid of any distinguishing features besides their hair, floats in a void. They're all red, and their head, hands, and feet are not attached, but float near the body, where they usually would be. A thin vine of what looks like leaves surrounds them.
They reach out towards the vine, which starts to circle more closely around them.
They are overtaken by the vine, which enters Yahuul's spirit body through the gap where their neck would be, and their wrists and ankles.
Little Yahuul wakes with a start and a big gasp. They now have the basbeo ribbon tied around their neck, and there's a lot of blood on their face and shirt, from the neck slicing. Their eyes are now a light yellow green, instead of the pale green they once were.
