Even though the servers are down, there’s still a lot of fun to be had with this game. While the CPU can get really annoying to deal with, the story mode was really good. Plus the core racing mechanics still hold up really well.

After 2 years on the backlog I was finally able to finish this game. They weren’t kidding when people said this one of the hardest games in the series but I was able to climb to the top of the mountain and become Pokémon Champion

I think this game is just as good if not better than the last one. I enjoyed the story in this one, the new hack’n’slash combat is fun, and there’s plenty of trippy visuals. Although, the maps can sometimes be hard to traverse through.

The Dog Island started out as a achievement of the week & I instantly fell in love with it. You pick your dog breed and go on a journey to help your little brother to cure his illness by going to Dog Island. I might have cried at the end. It's my GOTY. 5/5 #justbeatit @polykillpodcast.bsky.social

#JustBeatIt Blood Dungeon. My favorite bullet heaven game and the only one with an A+ tier on my list. Even though it's 2d platforming, which I'm bad at. It's made by the Nidhogg devs and, as you might expect, pretty crazy. After 30h I got my plat #93 and a big smile. @polykillpodcast.bsky.social

By some dark magic, Atlas Arcade and Ubonga made a playable version of Mario 1 directly on Youtube

It uses captions to draw a running Mario and you have to hover the video to "make him jump"... (cause the captions move up)

Fun gated exploration platformer with a convincing GBC aesthetic. If it really was a GBC game it would’ve been amazing; now it’s just good. On my way to 100% it too. Also the playtime is lying, it took me double that time.

#justbeatit STAR WARS Zero Company follows a villain spreading a plague across the galaxy so it’s apt that my play was full of bugs and crashes. Still, I loved every second building bonds and creating skill synergies for tactical combat. The story was especially strong @polykillpodcast.bsky.social

Curse: The Eye Of Isis was decent. The story is set in 1890s where a gang of thugs steal the eye of isis and you are sent out to recover it. The puzzles were fun even though they were frustrating at times and the story kept my attention. It's a high 3/5 #justbeatit @polykillpodcast.bsky.social

#JustBeatIt Vampire Crawlers. The dungeon crawler version of Vampire Survivors mixed with deckbuilding. I liked it more then the og game.
