Pictured here is a #BLS🇨🇭#Stadler #RABe528 unit seen earlier this week in the #Laufental valley, working an hourly #Biel/Bienne to #Basel #InterRegio service. This is the #Swiss #Jurabahn. It’s mostly single track. The line passes along river #Birs, through agricultural land.

Out on a hike today in #Laufental🇨🇭#Birs-Valley, just south of #Basel. Incidentally (😇) the hiking trail follows the #Jurabahn railway line. At #Bärschwil station, closed to passenger service in 1989, we see a #Basel to #Biel/Bienne #InterRegio, worked by a #BLS #RABe528 #Mika unit, passing through.
