#TheDragonblood: The starting equipment is covered! What it is depends on what role you have.

#TheDragonblood: Compensation is the elephant in room, here. The Defenders of Fate are neither government funded, nor are they out to bring home plunder. So, where does their funding come from to start with?
#TheDragonblood: This is Nemoria, so gender discrimination is not at all a thing.
I could see the Defenders of Fate being one of the few groups in Nemoria that recruits the Soulless.
#TheDragonblood: I've described the Defenders of Fate as a cult. So let's start from there.
#TheDragonblood: The main divisions in the Defenders of Fate are seers and assassins. And in preparation for tomorrow, I'll add proselyters; more on them tomorrow. I may add more if I think I'm missing something.
#TheDragonblood: The Defenders of Fate are one of those scary things parents tell their children about in bedtime stories. Maybe slightly older children than the ones you'd tell stories to simply to convince them to behave and eat their vegetables.
#TheDragonblood: Depending on how you look at it, the main opponent of the Defenders of Fate is either people who would mess with time in irreconcilable ways, or fate itself.
And it may seem strange that the so-called Defenders of Fate would be fighting AGAINST fate.
#TheDragonblood: Fenzetor is the god of fate. He wouldn't typically be associated with strife, but is certainly associated with the Defenders of Fate, and the strife they are allegedly trying to defend from.
#TheDragonblood: The Defenders of Fate believe that they are on a mission to protect the timeline from paradox that will result in great impending doom. And the way to do that is through targeted murder of those who would mess with time.
#TheDragonblood: The reason for the Defenders of Fate existing is two-fold.
This might get a bit into Day 3 stuff, but let's start with what its members believe.
Hey #TimeTravelAuthors!
Want to learn about a Time Protection Agency except they're a totally misguided cult of assassins that are pretty much just pawns of fate? I'm posting about the Defenders of Fate for #Juniplex (this month is June, shush)!
#TheDragonblood: This month (which is totally June, btw), we're discussing the Defenders of Fate, a cult of assassins based in Nemoria who make it their mission to eliminate those who would mess with fate!
Apologies to everyone else, whose posts I have not been reading, but I am only human.
I'm excited for #Juniplex next month, though! 😆 I'm planning to check out a few people's posts there too! We'll see how that goes. Hope I'm not overcommitting.
I've decided next month is June ( #Juniplex time! ), so let's finish off these May prompts!
I always wish I had more time and energy to follow more of you lovely worldbuilders out there! Alas, I have to limit myself to just a few, sometimes none, varying with energy levels.
Or you can be me and decide to answer these prompts in September (just the last few, though, because I dropped off near the end). If you're not drowning in work anymore.
Thinking of pretending next month is June and doing #Juniplex, though, which I missed entirely...
I'll skip talking about the Keepersworn in detail, as I did that for #Juniplex. 🪡
First up on the last up is yes, the Traveler's Guild I fleshed out during my #Juniplex is their larger defense force. Standing armies aren't much of a thing here.
It was tried once upon a time, but they took their equivalent of a world war and went "wow this is terrible, actually never again."
Good morning, #Septopolis.
ACAB and all but perhaps your world actually has a functioning civil servant system. Maybe it's self policing with its community. In any case, how is order upheld and what constitutes "order?"
If it fits here... your #Juniplex system may be worth tagging in!
