The character comes from the mind of a 10-yo boy indoctrinated by Nazis. When the boy gains knowledge, he rejects the imaginary friend. I thought it was very well done. (And I agree it doesn’t matter who portrayed it. That was a bonus.) #JojoRabbit

I try to empathize with those offended by some of what Taika’s character, Adolf, says in #JojoRabbit, but the character is ‘the imaginary friend of a ten-year-old boy in the Hitler Youth Camp.’ The character is not a “real person” in the film. 1/2
