The Howard League has responded to a report of the Crown Prosecution Service Joint Enterprise National Monitoring Scheme 2025-26.

The report shows that the CPS prosecuted 188 cases of homicide and attempted homicide, involving a total of 538 defendants.

I wonder if "I wasn't listening" would be adequate defence against secondary liability in a #JointEnterprise offence where presence was seen as "giving encouragement"?
