Probably my longest run for 4 years as I persuaded a grumbling body to run 22.5k as part of my #londonmarathon2027 training. It was a loop that took in a misty Greenwich Park & Blackheath, then Charlton and Sutcliffe Parks. #alzheimersresearchuk #greenrunners #jogdivision

The first real run of 2027 London Marathon training, it was a 1/3 of the distance but after Sunday’s 10k race I was happy with that. It was a circuitous route to Beckenham Place Park stopping for a couple of chats en route. #greenrunners #jogdivision

My Vitality 10,000 was predictably a lot slower than 2025, I didn’t help myself by doing almost 39k steps yesterday; met friends from parkrun on the way to the start, had a, now annual, hug with a friend who was running in a later wave over fencing on The Aldwych. #jogdivision #greenrunners

A triple dose of volunteering at Catford #parkrun this morning - set up, first timers’ welcome and tail walking ahead of tomorrow’s 10K. A lovely chatty time was had coming in 300th and last. #catfordparkrun #mountsfieldpark #jogdivision #greenrunners

As a friend pointed out - ‘you are being beaten by a baby!’ It sort of summed up a Catford #parkrun where increasing effort seemed to lead to decreasing speed. Best outfit (there were toning leopard print shorts with matching socks) award made up for it though.

An impromptu doglek©️ session (fast to the 2nd dog) in Greenwich Park - 11 intervals, 42 dogs @ 5.5 dogs per km. The gardens are recovering from the drought with lots of late colour. #GreenRunners #JogDivision

My first run since the #bighalf saw tired legs but most of the soreness had largely disappeared - it was just 5k round Sutcliffe Park, where some of the grass is beginning to have tinges of green and the lake is filling up. #greenrunners #jogdivision

I love the #BigHalf - it’s my favourite race; within 10 seconds of getting off the train at London Bridge a friend offered a spare tutu (sadly it didn’t go with my ‘outfit’). My time was a couple of minutes quicker than expected, although I wilted in the last 3k. #greenrunners #jogdivision
