#JNeurosci: Findings from Paez-Beltran et al. provide a new framework for understanding how transcription factor dynamics shape glial development and diversity in the brain and how their dysregulation may contribute to brain tumor development.

#JNeurosci: Results from Yamada et al. suggest that the reduction of excitatory neurometabolites, rather than the recruitment of GABAergic inhibition, is closely linked to a smooth transition into sleep.

Excited to share the lab's first fiber photometry paper, out now in #JNeurosci 🎉😃🐀🧠💫

This one feels particularly special: it marks a new experimental direction for the lab and reflects so much hard work, troubleshooting, learning, and persistence from an incredible team 🔬✨ More to come!

Does resource scarcity blunt the maternal brain’s reward system? Not exactly. New in #JNeurosci: Rat mothers with reduced nesting materials show altered VTA dopamine neuron activity around insensitive caregiving and pup separation, but not food reward.

#JNeurosci: Findings in rats from Wang et al. challenge traditional views of hippocampal function by suggesting that its role in decision making is not limited to flexible, outcome-sensitive choices, but can also extend to outcome-insensitive behavior.
