Ego Dissolution

Ears and nerves sicken at the ever-creaking,
Ever-upward ratchet of productivity:
Management aghast when we push for a works council.

We have failed to grasp the terminal paradox at the
Heart of corporate ego dissolution:
You are we, and we are you.

Caricature commissioned when management buys out the
Company portrays them as clownish dervishes:
CCO now a grinning minstrel whom in life I knew as that
Dour, ghoulish amalgam of Nurse Ratched and
Miss Jean Brodie.
