#Lupoglav 🇭🇷 is a major stop on the #Istria railway line to #Pula, and still a quiet place this afternoon. A single #HŽPP Class 7122 railcar is awaiting further duties. Built in 1980 by #Fiat, this unit originally served as #SJ 🇸🇪 Class #Y1. This is why it’s nicknamed “Šveđanin” by local railfans.

When holidaying in #Istria 🇭🇷, we usually visit the #Parenzana biking and hiking trail, built on the trackbed of the former narrow gauge railway line of the same name. Pictures taken earlier today. Views include #Piran 🇸🇮, on the other side of the bay. #Monfalcone 🇮🇹 is visible in the distance.

Going through pictures taken in #Istria a couple of years ago. This one dates back to June 2022, and I took it one evening at #Buzet 🇭🇷 station. The train is a Slovenian Railways #SŽ 🇸🇮 Class 711 railcar, working a #Pula to #Divača international service, with connections to #Ljubljana from there.
