Decided to open my final bottle of SMOS 1979 Bunnahabhain, this one is a 27yo from bourbon barrel #11488 @46%. I’ve had multiples of all 4 single cask releases 27yo/46% , 27yo/49.5% , 28yo/ 46% and 29yo/44.8%. What a joy they’ve been!

First dram of the night, this is my dram of the year (so far… and I can’t see anything beating it ! ) . How high do I rate this #Bunnahabhain ? Think 1965 and 1966 Feis ile , think Auld Acquaintance, think 34yo (Black Label ). Yup that good !
