Thought up this sketch 6 months ago, but couldn't quite get it right. Figured I'd rather get it a little wrong than leave it undone.

However, instead of the literal phrasing "under-gate", the speech bubble renders the actual Japanese katakana iconography from the manual that indicates when a part is under-gated. Presumably, it's because she's repeating the phonetics literally ("ahn-dah-gei-to") instead of just saying the actual English. She's asking this rhetorically because the next part she needs to clip out is under-gated and she doesn't understand why. Under-gating is when the piece is molded to the sprue in such a way that the connecting plastic is explicitly on the under/inner side of the part. This is usually done for pieces with special coatings or certain geometry to reduce the likelihood of noticeable blemishes when cutting out the part. However, this can lead to parts that some might find are harder to cut from the sprue, and require more cleaning effort to sit flush with the model. For the part here in question, Sigrin doesn't see why the part needs to be under-gated. The artist also agrees. Lastly, in the background is a television playing an episode of Columbo.
