Among patients with #BranchAtheromatousDisease-related #IschemicStroke, intravenous #Tirofiban plus aspirin did not reduce early neurological deterioration or new stroke compared with aspirin alone.

JAMA Neurology RCT on Tirofiban+aspirin vs. placebo+aspirin for stroke. 970 patients (607M, 363F, median 63y) in China. Findings: No significant difference in early neurological deterioration or new stroke incidence between groups. Graph shows similar cumulative incidence for both (HR 0.88, P=.39).
