Possibly my favourite fountain in the world, it was created at Smith's Sun Foundry on Port Dundas Road in Glasgow in 1868 for the industrialist Thomas Coats. And, yes that is a near-life sized walrus in the foreground!

Daytime scene on an overcast day in late summer in a walkable City during a break between rain showers at a park featuring a high pedestrian bridge above a busy expressway; the expressway traffic is fast and dense, as normal as it rushes past the expensive high-rise condominiums to one side, and a calm saltwater river (technically a tidal strait) on the other; rising above the plexiglass barrier over the expressway, a large, black, engraved iron indicates that this the the "John Finley Walk" and depicts the former City College professor with a scarf, top hat, and cane on one of his storied walks around the perimeter of the island -- a walk commonly referred to as The Great Saunter -- with the skyline of the City in the background; the walk is maintained by the City Park Service and stretches an impressive portion of the borough's eastern coastline.
