What's now allowed:
- Franchise businesses (previously excluded)
- Purchase through a NZ resident entity
- Gifted capital, if lawfully earned by the giver

For franchise operators, corporate investors & family-backed applicants.

Big shift for NZ's Business Investor Work Visa: from 6 July 2026, INZ removed three restrictions that were ruling out well-qualified applicants on structural grounds alone.
