Comparatively, several speakers at #ICOPA2026 opened their talks with a disclaimer they were presenting work that was not theirs, but of researchers who could not afford conference travel and accomidation - a loss for everyone involved.

#ICOPA2022 had a virtual option. May #ICOPA2030 as well!

We need #creative solutions using #science to outpace #parasites in their never-ending quest to infect their hosts.

#Parasites across the world are learning to survive exposure to drugs that normally kill them or limit their growth.

So our drugs aren't working well anymore. Now what?

Work by Paul Selzer et al. shows that antiparasitic chemicals banned in #agriculture but still used in companion #animals have a significant #toxic effect on the #environment. The drugs also persist in the environment and accelerate drug resistance.

#Chicory can provide cheap & easy worm-control for grazing #livestock without contributing to the growing problem of drug resistance.

Work by Daniel Petrič et al., shows #lambs grazing on pastures with chicory have significantly less intestinal #worms and better growth.
