HST 254007 in classic blue grey Intercity 125 livery with yellow lower front body and yellow cab roof, speeding through ThirskHST 254025 heads north through Thirsk, red tail lights on the rear power car. A photo taken by my mum with me standing just further down the platform taking a similar shot, a moment later. I need to put the 2 shots side by side sometime. Thanks Mum! An HST runs through Thirsk on the middle through lines. The signal box is visible in the distance on the left. Looks like the RH track has had a recent dressing of ballastHST 254029 in original livery at the buffer stops at Kings Cross on the farewell rail tour, with a crowd of enthusiasts on the platform. The HST stands next to an Azuma unit and a Grand Central unit in black and orange on the right

I’ve only travelled faster than an HST twice - once on the M5 in the car and once at @locomotionshd.bsky.social on foot 😂
