That was fun! The inaugural Outlaw Country night at House of Targ was a barn burner. A small but enthusiastic Thursday night crowd cracked beers, stomped and sang along to cool local artists. This shit is right in my wheelhouse. Great job everyone! #palsofrock #outlawcountry #houseoftarg

Hey it’s Slo’ Tom solo. This fella has SO MANY great songs. It never seems to stop. They just come rolling out. Tonight Tom played many of his ‘prison songs’ and kept with the whole ‘outlaw’ theme. Joyceville, Kissing in Prison, Breakin’ the Law in Bathurst… all hits - NO TURKEYS!Good buddy Lefty strums, drums and sings a set of classic country murder ballads. Everyone got stabbed, shot and/or buried in a shallow grave. Super fun! Love this dude. He pulled off a stellar cover of Marty Robbins’ El Paso that left us all enthralled. No small feat. Like WOW!Texas MAC (Texas Music Appreciation Club) knocked me on my arse. Curtis and Matthew Chaffey plus mighty Matt Sobb. Seriously great southern sounds with brilliant twangy covers of Doug Sahm/Texas Tornadoes, Charlie Pride, Dave Dudley, Waylon Jennings and even Neil Young. Keep your eyes peeled - these cats are cool. DJ Grrl Haggard (best C&W DJ handle EVER) plays amazing classic country songs from the Targ booth. She organized the whole event. I really enjoy seeing the young folks digging the music my dad taught me to love. There’s hope!

I hand-pulled a few silkscreen prints of my poster for The Gruesomes at House of Targ this weekend. My first time trying out fluorescent ink!
