From 2016’s Prog 1984, the adult colouring book trend reaches Tooth, with an advert for the Action Heroines Colouring Book. Of course, in the old days, you could just colour in the comics themselves, though, as it turns out, that has a deleterious effect on their resale value. #2000ad #houseads

From Prog 1204, 2000, an ad for #ThargsFutureShocks, those bite-sized thrills that exist both to fill in if the comic's running a few pages short, or to launch the careers of creators like #AlanMoore and #GrantMorrison, or, as here, #FraserIrving (drawing a #SteveMoore tale).

From Prog 1045, 1997, an ad for #GordonRennie and #GregStaples' #WitchWorld. Rennie's first work for Tooth (he'd done #MissionaryMan for the Megazine), it's not something that he has a lot of love for, as he mentions here: viciousimagery.blogspot.com/2007/02/28-d...

I love #2000AD and I'm a big fan of #houseads, those little plugs that the Mighty One inserts in the comic when he can't sell advertising space. So, with the aid of a random number generator and a snipping tool, let's take a look at a few of them, starting with this from #johnwagner and #johnburns:

Advert for the upcoming Judge Dredd serial, "The Scorpion Dance", featuring Judge Demarco. The text reads "She's in love with Judge Dredd. She's in trouble." Art by John Burns. From Prog 1121, 1998
