The first #ExtrasolarPlanet was discovered on #ThisDayInHistory in 1995. It is a "#HotJupiter", i.e., a #GasGiant with an orbit close to its main-sequence star, #51PegasiB. The planet has officially been named #Dimidium and was later found in 2017 to have water in its atmosphere.
