"Yeah," curt in tone, he was aware, listening. Or trying. Difficult matter when horns are blaring and rain is splashing and even without his own trailer there were plenty nearby to concern himself with.
Ignatius waited through more horns and a groan before asking, "I'm not keeping you from anything, am I? I mean, vampire or not you seem to be working. Even had a big crate thing on your—"
"It wasn't for work," still curt, clipped, and more than a little irritated.
Earning a huffed, "Mmph," and a coiled up little devil.
So Bo tried for clarity and a softer tone, while shifting, keeping eyes firm on the road—with a sneer to too many converging sports cars cutting him off, "I'm contract and saying no to a few jobs won't hurt if I can stay with you longer."
"Oh." Sitting up straighter, if only to lean and tease, Ignatius cooed, "Now, cutie, if you want me in your lap, you just have to ask."
"Why do you default to filthy?" The words were spoken through a sigh, for easing traffic as much as the flirtation.
Taken as a snipe by the ears they were meant for and, leaning back, Ignatius waved a hand as he answered what was honestly rhetorical, "I am what I am."
Slower traffic, if the bridge worried, gave Bo the opportunity to steal a glance. So steal he did, long enough to catch gray-pink eyes and hold them. "I think you're more."

This is the least naughty use of this word #Hitch has, #WIPSnips so enjoy Bo in a moment of weakness... but not the one he intended.

Bo couldn't look at him.
The man was looking up and he couldn't look at him.
"Stop," he didn't bark but it did sound similar enough to shock a gently bobbing head still. "Turn around and lay on your stomach."
"Oh. Well, yes, daddy."
Bo was too hungry to be irritated by a role he wasn't comfortable in and if he didn't see the lie of the eyes... well, the man wasn't quite the same shade but he was close enough.
He could pretend.
Squeezing the contents of the tube he'd fished from his belt into his palm, he intended to pretend. To massage that soft brown skin, get lost in gentle begging for more, even give that more.
Hunger got the better of him when skin touched skin and the tender touch meant to lead to delectable moaning instead turned to a grip too tight and a scream too loud. One silenced with dry fingers, wet ones struggling to hold the man's wrists as they flailed.
Bo bit into the soft flesh under the man's arm and refused to leave it, suckling rough and deep of heat too cool and a taste tainted with something. Something he couldn't place but it was sour and strange. Too long he held his prey...no.
No, he told himself, not prey. Stop. Stop or he'll die.

Someone wasn't listening, but he was looking. Into all alternate roads he was looking. "There's snow in most of them...all piled up in fluffy white hills even." Blinking the mixed sights away, he turned eyes on the gruff next to him. "I don't pay too much attention to seasons up here but isn't it early for snow?"
A gruff who softened significantly, answering barely loud enough to hear, "You were gone for months, Iggy."
"Right, I—" He had words, thoughtful ones even, related to how he clearly made the big sweetheart worry but they were on the bridge by then and between sheets of rain he saw what he so rarely had since Melodia claimed him. "What—what lake is that?"
"We're in Minnesota somewhere," Bo said, checking either side of himself as he did the lake they traveled over. "So...I have no idea."
Laughing, lilting if sudden, Ignatius let the rain overtake it. Everything, in fact, focusing entirely on the sound of it beating against the glass. The splash of the wheels through more...waves crashing against the bridge. All of it sang so sweetly and in it he found a new question, "Is...is it always like this?"
"The lake or the road?" Calmer for fewer cars, if no less worried of the rain, Bo relaxed in his seat and stole another glance at his little devil.
Who was watching the lake, though he answered, "The road. I'm rarely on it this long. Or able to enjoy the ride itself, but it's beautiful."

#Hitch today #WIPSnips and I share this one only because Iggy trying to be funny is painful and I must inflict it on others.

Sliding away, he chuckled for hands grasping and stopped at the curtain into the sleeper. "I'll be in bed, don't be long. Wouldn't want to have an international incident."
"Iggy." Bo lost the heat, snapped away in irritation.
Irritation poked at as Ignatius stayed at the doorway for it. "Wait, they have those men out here, with the cute little hats and adorable name." Dramatically tapping his lip, he kept eyes well from the reds rolling at him and drawled, "Horsies? No, that's what they ride. Oh, Ridies?"
"Are you finished?" Bo said low, grinning as he moved up again in the line.
While Ignatius popped, with a finger high in the air, "Mounties!" Leaning to waggle the finger at Bo, he added, "Don't eat a mountie, sunset, you'll ruin your appetite."
"Going to ruin you," he taunted, not moving.
But Ignatius did, disappearing into the back and shouting, "Already have!"
Bo was still chuckling when a round, tired face and gloved hand interrupted. None could see into his windows but he saw just fine. She was exhausted, rings around her eyes suggesting a night longer than his trip but that's not what kept the window up.
Now, Bo was no new thing. He didn't swoon and leap at the first scent of blood. Had little issue in even crowded areas if he were well fed... but he wasn't well fed just then. Having refused Ignatius' attempt to feed him—wasn't fair, you know—he'd not had anything in far too many hours to not be...tempted.
