The Sustho Sagor-Healthy Ocean Project, implemented by @worldfish.bsky.social & @wcs.org with support from the @blueactionfund.org works with #fishers & stakeholders to conserve #hilsa, Bangladesh’s national fish. Nijhum Dwip #MPA is a key project site for protecting critical hilsa migratory routes.

Today, #fish landing centres are busy with last-minute activity as #fishers and #traders prepare for the 22-day #Hilsa fishing ban, which begins tomorrow. Successful conservation depends not only on enforcement but also on the collective efforts of stakeholders. #MPA

4/5 India’s broader export performance is also strengthening, with electronics, engineering goods, petroleum products, rice, marine products and processed foods all contributing to the momentum.
