Among patients receiving radiotherapy for #HeadAndNeckCancer, higher skeletal muscle and lower intermuscular adiposity on pretreatment #ComputedTomography were associated with improved overall survival.

ja.ma/4rUgVFM

Kaplan-Meier survival curve shows overall survival (%) over 6 years for Obesity (dark gray), Overweight (orange), Healthy (blue), and Underweight (light green) groups. The Underweight group has significantly lower survival rates. Obesity, Overweight, and Healthy groups show higher, similar survival.

Editorial: In HPV 16–positive recurrent or metastatic #HeadAndNeckCancer, PDS0101 plus pembrolizumab demonstrated activity in immune checkpoint inhibitor–naive disease but not after prior immune checkpoint inhibitor exposure. ja.ma/4xW1IWP

Meta-analysis: In #HeadAndNeckCancer with programmed cell death 1 ligand 1 combined positive score <1, #ImmuneCheckpointInhibitors were likely associated with reduced survival, including significantly reduced overall survival in recurrent or metastatic disease. ja.ma/46uMnAC

Figure 2: Meta-analyses of ICIs in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (PD-L1 CPS < 1) by disease setting. A) Recurrent/metastatic: Forest plot shows pooled HRs (Bayesian 1.42, Frequentist 1.46) favor control (P<.001). B) Locally advanced: Pooled HRs (Bayesian 1.19, Frequentist 1.18) also favor control but are not significant (P=.41).

In #HPV16-positive recurrent or metastatic #HeadAndNeckCancer, PDS0101 plus #Pembrolizumab showed antitumor activity and manageable safety in immune checkpoint inhibitor–naive patients, but no objective responses in resistant patients. ja.ma/4xVtvql

Kaplan-Meier curve shows overall survival in immune checkpoint inhibitor-naive population. Y-axis: Survival fraction (0-1.0). X-axis: Time (mo, 0-48). Curve declines from 1.0 to ~0.43. Key survival: 9-mo (84.7%), 12-mo (78.5%), 24-mo (67.6%). No. at risk decreases from 53 to 0.
