it's #wipwednesday so here's another little peek at one of my pieces for #radiojoyweek2026 ! this one is for day two hehe

a snippet of a wip that reads: Emily hated the days she woke up alone. She knew why it happened sometimes. Alastor had a job to do, he had duties to fulfill that meant he couldn't just lounge around in bed all day. To be perfectly fair, Emily also wasn't one to lounge around all day, she had her own things to attend to in a day. The difference was that her things usually weren't "the crack of dawn" tasks. Maybe Alastor's weren't either, but she knew how he liked to get things done early so the longer his list of tasks for the day, the more likely he was to be an early riser. Thus leading to Emily waking up alone some days. It wasn't all bad, of course. Sometimes it was nice to be able to stretch out over the bed as much as she wanted without worrying out kicking her lover in the shin. He also usually left her tea that he magically kept warm for her until she woke up. Sometimes he would leave her breakfast too if he wasn't in too much of a rush which he must have been this morning because all that awaited her when she rolled over and saw he was gone was a steaming cup of tea and a little note on his pillow. Grabbing the note, Emily sat up to read it with a yawn. "Enjoy the tea. I'll be back this afternoon. All my love, Alastor." She read aloud to the room, smiling to herself. She knew if anyone asked, he would deny he could be so sweet in the privacy of their room. He had a reputation to uphold, after all, as the big bad Radio Demon. But Emily didn't mind, in fact, she sort of liked that he showed his soft side to her and her alone. It made her feel special that she got to see something no one else got to see.
